The Washroom Murder
The Washroom Murder
Nickey Harward lived in house number 407. There was something unusual in her life. She worked at a stall behind the railway station.
One day, while delivering snacks to a group of people at the railway station, there was a loud scream. The station commander and the team went to the washroom, but the door was closed. The station commander called for a crowbar. The man brought it, and they tried to break the door, succeeding. The station then fell silent.
Inside was Nickey's dead body. The station commander said, "Harry, call the police immediately." Harry dialed 100 and informed the inspector about the incident.
After half an hour, the police arrived. The inspector asked the station commander about the events. He asked, "Do you know anything about her entourage?"
The station commander replied, "I have her ID."
"Okay, can you get me her ID?" said Inspector Jack.
"Harry, can you get her ID from my office?" commanded the station commander.
Inspecting the ID, the inspector noted, "Hmm... the name Nickey Harward. The address is Liberty Residence 407 Herzberg."
The inspector suggested, "Let’s go to her home and ask her family about her."
They went to her home. Upon reaching, the inspector entered and asked Nickey's mother, "Do you know where your daughter is?"
Nickey's mother replied, "She will be working at the railway station."
The inspector sadly informed her, "She has been killed at the railway station."
Nickey's mother exclaimed, "That is unbelievable! How can my beautiful daughter be killed?"
The inspector called Detective Samuel, who arrived as instructed. After the inspector briefed him on the story, Detective Samuel questioned Nickey's parents.
"Did your daughter have a close enemy? Did she have any debts or disputes?" asked Samuel.
Nickey's mother replied, "She was engaged with a boy but later said she didn’t want to marry him."
"Can you tell me his address?" asked Samuel.
Nickey's mother provided the address, and they went there by jeep. Inside the home, Samuel called out, "Mr. David," the name of Nickey's fiancé.
"Do you know Nickey?" asked Samuel.
"Nnn… No, I don’t know her," replied Mr. David.
"Don’t lie," retorted Samuel.
"She was not listening to me, so, I…" Mr. David started.
"Now you are caught. Surrender or…" warned Samuel.
"I surrender," said Mr. David.
Now he was caught by the police. Truth prevailed over wrongdoing.
