THE STORMY NIGHT

THE STORMY NIGHT

It was a dark and stormy night, and Lily was traveling home from work after a late shift. Her vehicle sputtered and died as she turned onto a deserted country road. She pulled over to the side of the road, hoping to weather the storm until she could restart her vehicle.

But as she sat there in the gloom, she became uneasy. Something didn't feel right, as if she was being watched. She attempted to shake it off and waited for the rain to stop.

She became aware of a rapping sound on her window. She sat up and turned to look, but there was nothing there. She tried to persuade herself that it was just a branch or something.

She then spotted a figure standing outside her car. It was tall and eerie, with glowing eyes that seemed to look straight through her. Lily was paralyzed with terror, unable to move or cry.

Lily was startled again when the figure reached out and touched the glass. She could plainly see its face now, and it was unlike anything she had ever seen before. Its skin was pale and cracked, its eyes were hollow, and it had twisted its lips into a grotesque grin.

Lily attempted to start her vehicle, but the engine refused to start. She was stuck in the darkness, alone with this terrifying figure outside her window.

Lily's dread grew as the figure continued to tap on the glass. She attempted to flee by opening her door, but it was locked. She struggled with the lock, but it refused to move. The tapping became louder and more persistent.

Finally, the figure shattered the window and reached inside the vehicle with a loud crack. As its icy fingers closed around Lily's neck, she screamed.

After the storm had past, a passing motorist discovered Lily's car on the side of the road. There was no trace of Lily or the figure who had imprisoned her. They seemed to vanish into thin air, leaving only a shattered window and a riddle behind.
