The Mysterious Mountain Girl

Soham is a travel photographer. Today, he has organized an exhibition on something that he would love to cherish forever. These photographs are related to the most beautiful stranger he has ever met in life. A mysterious girl of the mountain.

Five years ago, Soham was given a project to make a short film on the Himalayas. He was travelling to a village, to cover the shoot on a monastery. On his way to the Monastery, suddenly, his car stopped. He came to repair his car. After some time, he felt like someone passed by him. He turned behind and saw, it was a mysterious girl, face covered in a veil. But Soham saw her beautiful eyes. Something was there, in her eyes. Certainly. A quest, a longing. But before Soham could call her, she disappeared into the woods.

During his stay in that village, she came across many times with Soham’s ways. Every time he saw the girl, he was stuck in the quest of her eyes. Whenever he tried to speak to her, she disappeared somewhere.

But, there was something that Soham could relate well. Whenever he was closed to meet an accident, he saw that girl around him. Somehow, she was present there to rescue him. One day, during a photoshoot, he was unaware of the steep hill, and he was about to fall from the hill. But, he felt someone pushed him from backward, and when he managed to uplift himself, he saw that girl, again.

The most mysterious part was when he asked other villagers about the girl, they said they had not seen such a girl there. They told them that there was no such girl in that village.

On the way returning from the villagers, he was falling from the hill steps, and finally, he fell to the river. He knew swimming, but, he was unable to swim against the flowing river. He started sinking. Suddenly, someone held his hand and brought him to the bank. He was senseless. When he recovered from the sense, he saw the girl was sitting beside him.

Soham asked her name. But she didn’t reply. She went inside the forest. Soham thought the girl would return after some time. But she didn’t.

Soham searched for the girl everywhere, but she never found her.

But, Soham had managed to capture her in his lens. After five years, today, he has organized a photography exhibition, where he will showcase the photographs of that mysterious girl. He has named the show, ‘An Ode To The Mountain Girl.’
