By now I had already lost my sleep hence I decided to complete my pending work.. I switched on the light in the balcony and just covered the curtain so that the light shouldn't disturb her.

It was still raining... I continued writing for sometime around an hour or so.. and then...

kya likh rahe ho...

I turned back and saw she was standing behind me..

Me: nothing just pending work.. didn't sleep???

She: just for a few minutes... you can sit in the hall I will move in the bedroom. I am ok now...

Me: no no.. I am just closing off.. waise bhi kuch soch nahi paa raha hu...

She: okk...

I came out of the balcony and moved towards the sofa....

She: if you don't mind may I know what were you writing...

Me: working on my book as usual..

She: you still haven't finished with it I thought you might have published it.

Me: I am waiting for the Climax

She looked at me for a few seconds..There are a few things which I am not able to adjust in the climax. Hopefully, until the next weekend arrives I will be done with it.

She: ok..

After such a long time she asked me something that too about me. Inside somewhere I was happy not about she asked about me but the fact that we were talking to each other again.

After a few minutes, I asked her... chai piyogi???

She: tea now!!! its 3.45 am.

Me: ok... I am making for myself thought about asking you.

She: ok but not much...

I got the tea for us gave her the cup and I went towards the window with my cup...

I was having it watching the rain... sip by sip. The house is looking a lot empty.. a lot of stuff seems to be missing. also a lot lesser then it used to be...

Me: yeah... I have disposed of some of the stuff which I felt unwanted. some of the other I have shifted to Solapur. I got a writing contract there for a publishing house. I will be no more staying here. the company is also providing accommodation now I am just waiting for tomorrow. ek baar final verdict ho jaye then no coming back.

She: You never wanted to work leaving your house. How come you get ready for such a sacrifice.

Me: you get ready to sacrifice when you have a good return or outcome but this time it wasn't about the outcome it's about the no alternative zone where I am trapped. I am not able to afford the rent of this house When we decided to stay here it was agreed that we will share the rent.

When you made the exit since then till today I am adjusting somehow. I didn't have a fixed salary job you knew it. Any writing contract coming my way was the only source of income. When you left the house, around one year I somehow managed the rent but after that contracts ascended and then I didn't have any option rather than doing a job. I started working in a paint factory which gave some hope at least for the rent but things kept getting worse as there use to be the very lesser amount remaining after rent. I also lost focus on my writing. So finally, I decided to leave the house. Fortunately, two weeks before I got a writing contract in Solapur with accommodation. They are charging the rent but very little and it's quite affordable.
