**The Interview**
Kabir arrived early for the biggest interview of his career — Creative Director at a top Mumbai ad agency. The receptionist led him into a glass room where a woman sat reviewing his portfolio.
"Impressive work," she said. "Especially the Diwali campaign. Tell me, whose idea was the tagline?"
"Mine," Kabir said proudly. "I wrote it in one sitting."
She smiled. "Interesting. Because I wrote that exact line eight years ago. For a campaign that got shelved. I never published it anywhere."
Kabir's confidence cracked. "That's... a coincidence. It's a common phrase—"
"It's not," she said, sliding a folder across the table. Inside was the original, word for word, dated and signed. "I've seen this happen four times this year. Different candidates, same ideas, same phrasing, things that were never made public."
"What are you saying?"
She leaned forward. "I'm saying this agency doesn't just interview people anymore. It also tests something else." She nodded toward the ceiling, where a small black device blinked steadily. "Congratulations, Kabir. You passed. The AI liked how you presented its own idea."
Kabir turned around. The 'receptionist' who'd led him in was gone. So was the door.
