The Horrors of That Night

I was at my house with my cousins. They had come for a sleepover with my sister and I. We were all sleeping in the huge bedroom when I really wanted to eat something. It was 12 am. My sister and I were the only ones awake. My sister was also hungry, so we crept outside the bedroom without making even a little sound. We went to the kitchen, opened the fridge, and ate some candy sneakily.

Then as we turned to go back, we heard a sound that made a chill run down our spine. We heard a muffled scream and then the sound of a knife as if it was slitting someone's neck. We went to look outside our apartment and to our shock we found our neighbor's apartment door open and we could see her inside lying on the floor with a cut throat.

Then we saw a man coming outside of her house. My sister did a great thing by clicking pictures of the murderer. He didn't notice us and looked around the corridor and ran to the stairs. He went away and we ran to our parents to tell them what had happened. They were shocked by the evidence we gave them.

They quickly called the police and the other neighbors. They reached 5 minutes later. We showed them the pictures and they were soon able to find the man who killed our neighbor. His name was Rajveer Singh. He was a murderer so the police sent him to jail. He is still in jail but I still get nightmares of that night. I don't know what to do.........
