Sri Devi was well versed in English. The only thing was she hasn't told everyone yet. Meanwhile, the marriage preparations were at their peak. Her husband and kids had all arrived. She was also very happy.

She tells her husband about everything. He feels so sorry for humiliating her always. He realizes if she had not known the English language she would not have been able to save their daughter. 

He asked her for forgiveness and realizes his big mistake of not knowing the capabilities and selfless love of his wife.
