Stories Fascinate Me
Stories Fascinate Me
I wanted to be a doctor since I was in class 8. The day I got selected was the best day of my life. I felt special.
I am not good at singing, dancing, cooking, painting, or anything you'll come up with. I am just not good at it. I was only good with grades but I was happy, in fact, more than happy as I was going to live my dream.
The day I stepped into college, I was no more special. I realized I am not even that good in the only thing I was good at. I tried to ignore this but very soon it started bothering me. It just got on my nerves.
In this quarantine I got a lot of time to analyze, I tried few things too to find my hidden talent and failed miserably.
A few days back, I talked to a friend about it and he asked me to contemplate, he said think about that one thing that always brings happiness and smile on your face apart from the people you love. In that very moment I knew, stories fascinate me, listening to people's experiences make me happy, telling them mine makes me happy. Words, stories, language, poems, quotes, anecdote they make me happy.
In a few days, I asked a friend to make a page on Instagram on which I can share stories. I started with my college, obviously, where can you find better stories than DH, BH, GH ?. I started talking to people more and asked them to tell me about their experiences, anything they cherish, I will love to know and share if they are comfortable.
Making a page work, It is way tougher than I thought. It is taking blood and sweat to make it work. Some people reply some don't, but any message by someone who calls my initiative nice or great, it makes my day. Those messages are another reason that keeps me moving, the primary reason is always their story.
Definitely, there is this one moment in the day when I come to a point when I am done with this and can't do it anymore, but that one story which I share daily is just a treat to my personality. I am learning more. At one moment I question myself if I am doing something productive or not? At one moment FOMO kicks me hard for sure if people are doing anything more important? But I told you that's only one moment. These stories I am reaching to make me happy and I know this is worth it.
