Siddharth's Ambivalence!
Siddharth's Ambivalence!
"What the hell! Are you blind? Can't you see?", shouted Surbhi whose scooty had just been hit by Siddharth's car.
"O, madam! First of all, this is No parking zone. And secondly, the damage to your scooty is not this big that you are shouting at me like this!" exclaimed Siddharth.
"Haan haan tum kyun smjhoge, raees baap ki aulad jo tehre!", exclaimed Surbhi in a high tone with weird expressions.
Well Surbhi's scooty had been hit by Siddharth's BMW. And so automatically, Surbhi developed thinking that Siddharth belongs to an extremely rich family whose parents had given him such an expensive car at 26! Well, this was true as well.
"Well I hope, this will be enough!", Siddharth said as he handed over surbhi 3 Pink notes as a compensation for damage.
"No thankyou, I don't need this. Well It'd better if you just apologize!", Surbhi said adjusting her hair.
"I'm not at fault, so why should I apologize? And who are you that I should say you sorry! I haven't apologized to my dad throughout my life, and you expect me to apologize to you? Huh! Get out of the girl of your dreams! Also, I think you're going for some interview so all the best, and please don't talk to your boss this way, he might show you the door right away!", Siddharth said in an arrogant manner and left.
Well by this time Surbhi's temper had touched the sky. Already massive damage (according to her) had been done to her scooty, and the start of one of the most important days of her life was this way! She was going to appear for an interview, as Siddharth said, for the post of a personal secretary. She wanted everything to be perfect since morning, but alas! spoiler had already been introduced.
"I hope my boss isn't like him", Surbhi prayed and went for the interview.
"Sir may I come in?", Surbhi asked
"Yes you may", her boss replied. He was sitting facing backward so Surbhi couldn't see him and neither boss could see his candidate.
Whole of the interview was taken boss facing backward. Like an ordinary human, Surbhi too found it strange that how can a boss ask questions without looking at the face of the person! Well, she ignored it thinking that it might be the company's rule.
"I've looked at your merits. They're quite impressive. Also, I could feel that you were quite confident while answering questions. So you are H I R...", Boss was about to complete his sentence, but was amused by his prospective secretary!
Yes, the boss was none other than Siddharth Mehra! The one with whom Surbhi had a fight this morning and equally shocking was it for Surbhi to find that the one who spoiled her mood this morning, was the one for whom she had to give an interview!
Both of them went in a 45 min ago flashback and remembered the heated conversation.
"You!!", both exclaimed together.
"What are you doing here?", Siddharth asked.
"I'm here to give an interview for personal secretary for my B.....", this time Surbhi stopped in between.
"This means...!"
"Oh no!", both exclaimed together.
"This means you're my boss!", "And you're my secretary!"
Both were equally frustrated over their decisions. But they had to accept reality. Now they were boss and secretary to one another. Though they weren't happy at all about it but waived the matter thinking that this was only professional from 9 in the morning to 6 in the evening.
Siddharth was an extremely arrogant businessman who could not digest the fact that a middle-class girl had insulted her. He vowed to make her life miserable since the next day. On the other hand, for Surbhi he was just her boss to which she had to obey, no matter what. But she didn't think like Siddharth. Although she hated him, he had grudges towards him too but didn't plan to do anything that would ruin Siddharth's life.
Soon Surbhi's professional journey began. She was focused on her work and her boss. But Siddharth didn't let Surbhi live in peace. On the very first day, he insulted her secretary for being a middle-class woman!
"Hello everyone, presenting before you my middle-class secretary who rides all along 9 kms on scooty! Well I hope you all know how expensive cabs are these days!", he said and laughed and so did everyone else.
Beginning of her first day was miserable! She hadn't thought that arrogant humans would do this to her. Now she hated him more.
Somehow she managed to pass her first day.
The second day Siddharth used another technique to insult her. This time he made fun of her "not so good English!" Siddharth left no stone unturned in making Surbhi's life hell. With each passing day, he ensured she suffers more than the previous day.
As a part of his revenge, he asked one of his employees to lock Surbhi in the store. Unknowing, that Surbhi was a nyctophobiac, he ensured that she stays in the room for atleast 3 hours. But oh no! What had he done! Surbhi couldn't bear darkness for more than 10 minutes and here she was locked for more than 180 minutes! Surbhi out of fear had lost consciousness. She had fainted.
Siddharth after 2 hours just came to check how much is she suffering, but he was surprised to see her condition! He became worried about seeing Surbhi lying unconscious. He quickly lifted her up in her arms and dropped her to her home. But he was confused. Where he should've been happy seeing Surbhi like this, he was worried! What was this that made him so tensed towards her? He was confused.
Next day, Surbhi made sure to resign.
"I won't let him make me suffer more! I'll quit my job today itself. If he doesn't give me a salary, no problem, I'll wait to join another company but not work under this unbearable human anymore!", she promised herself and left.
"I'm resigning. I can't bear all this insult anymore. Yesterday you locked me in a room. What if tomorrow you throw me out of the window, just to take your revenge!", Surbhi shouted at him.
"Don't you dare talk to me like this now onwards!", he shouted at Surbhi.
"Also, you cannot resign from the company unless you give a one month notice prior to your resignation. So now leave and get back to your work.", he said.
As Surbhi left, Siddharth could see tears in her eyes. And for the first time, he felt bad. Yes! He felt bad for bringing tears to her eyes. But this was all he wanted! Then why was he so worried about her? And why didn't he let Surbhi resign? Afterall he wanted her to do this, and now when she was doing he stopped her! But why? Was it something that Siddharth was unaware about?
A feeling that he never imagined he'd experience any day in his life! Was that love? Was that his heart saying something that he couldn't understand? Why was he so considerate for a woman the previous day for whom he had vowed to ruin her life? Well that day, the arrogant businessman Siddharth Mehra had no answer to his own questions!
