By birth, I was a Brahmin woman. Well educated and hard-working I became an engineer in Chennai Doordarshan. I married a Muslim. He was the one who made me understand. Until then I did not know about myself. Saying some mantras, doing pujas, going to the temple, this is how I lived. But he was the only one who discovered this compassion in me and the attitude of helping others. He took me to a new world. Who had a helping attitude from an early age? At first, I was very surprised. But as the days go by it is very surprising when I think of the awards I have received and what others have praised me immensely.

The 50 Lions Club presented me with the Melvin Jones worthy Person Award. I got Jhansi Rani's Biggest Award. unanimously I was made the chairperson of deaf and dump chairperson of the south zone after the great dancer, the great artist MP of Mrs. Vaijayanthimala Bali...So happy to give to others. We went to many places. We got acquainted with various great men, Service-minded people. My husband made me realize that my debt is to do the work, for the sake of others. They are giving you an opportunity to do service. I realized we get great pleasure while doing good things.
