Sacrifice

       The day he was born was May 3,1999. The day of starting the Kargil war. The letter of this good news had sent but due to this situation letter didn't get posted. One side situations due to a war going to more tough and another side the news of the birth of " Shaurya" spread in the village of Ludhiana. The village is too small so the news of every little thing spread quickly. The border situations can't be controlled by Indian soldiers being shahid . one of the soldiers on the border was the father of shaurya .he doesn't know that the boy is born in his house. he is just focusing on the war. 

     26 July 1999 the war is going to finish. Many soldiers lost their lives, many women lost their everything, kids their father, many mothers lost their sons. This pain can't get overcome. Mr. Singh father of shaurya was get injured badly but due to duties, he didn't get a holiday. But he gets the letter of birth of shaurya, his pain turns up into happiness. and why not every parent forgot all the worries, pain, tension in front of their kids or for kids. The family of Mr.Singh didn't know that he is alive or not because any letter arrives from Mr. Singh or the border of India.

      It's been 5 years of joining the army. Mr.Singh only gets one holiday in 5 years. It's been 1 year of seeing his family. It's just letters that are giving evidence of his present to his family. A letter has become an emotion, a gift that when it arrives both of the sides get happiness to get peace and give hopes. the years are passed letters are posted, delivered every letter written by his wife has a question " Ghar kab aaoge?"

      Mr. Singh always refuses to answer this because he even didn't know that he can fight on the border or lost his life. there were years are passed shaurya became 10 years old but he never meets his father just sees his photo and imagines him as an idol. now shaurya writes every month a letter for his father, share about his school, his dreams, and Mr. Singh reads it and hopes to meet his son as soon as possible. Shaurya always asks to meet him because when he saw everyone's father come to school to pick his kids he gets sad and always complains to his mother about not meeting his father. 

    Now Shaurya passed his 12th standard. he ranked on the state, get good grades but he is not happy because his father is not there for being proud of him or appreciate him. That day he decides to join the army to meet his father, he put all the effort into it. due to his hard work, he got selected to the army at the age of 19.

     It's Feb 13, 2019, he packed his bag and get ready to meet his father his idol, he writes in the last letter that he comes to see his father. but Mr.Singh used to it because shaurya always tells Mr. Singh that he is coming to live with him. but didn't take it seriously and Mr.Singh didn't get any holiday from the birth of shaurya. shaurya didn't saw his father from his birth.

14 February 2019. the buses carrying Indian security personnel are passing through the Jammu and Kashmir highway and one of them is Mr. Singh. no one knows what going to happen next. in the second the attacked by a vehicle-borne suicide bomber at plethora in the district of Pulwama. 40 Indian soldiers getting shahid, one of them is Mr. Singh. we all know it as the " Pulwama" attack. 

The news was spread all over India, when Shaurya heard this he broke, no one can feel his pain at that time. 

One father sacrificed his present to grow up in his child, what shaurya lost I can't describe in words.
