Respect

Ananya Somayaji is an independent girl, working as a graphic designer for a news channel. Her father, Prakash Somayaji is a charted accountant and her mother, Nirmala is a housewife. She has a younger brother Ritesh, an architecture student. 

Like every other day, after finishing her shift, Ananya started to her home. It was 11.15 p.m. and she missed her office cab. So she decided to book a private cab. There were no cabs available at that time. She stepped out of the office and started looking for the taxi. She didn't find a single auto or taxi anywhere. She slowly started walking towards the main road so that she could easily find a cab or auto. The street was empty. The street lights were not in proper condition. She walked quickly towards the main road. Suddenly she heard some voice behind her. She thought that she was followed by someone. She took her scarf from her hand bag and covered her face with it. Two boys in a KTM duke 120 bike started following her. They were shouting loudly form behind. They turned the bike headlights off. She didn't recognise their faces in the dark. They jumped right infront of her and blocked her path.

They started circling around her. One of them grabbed her wrist and the other tried to touch her. She knocked them down and she ran as fast as she could to escape from them. She found an auto rickshaw on the main road. She quickly got into the auto and reached home. 

She didn't inform anything to her parents. She concealed uneasiness in her heart and fear in her mind. She went into her room, locked the door and immediately filed a complaint online. She was frightened by that incident and she couldn't slept that night.

The next day she told her brother about the terrific incident that happened last night. Ritesh said, " don't worry. I will come to your office to pick you up. You forget about that. Go and get ready to your work". Few minutes later the door bell rang. Nirmala opened the door and the police were standing outside the door. Prakash and Nirmala were shocked. The cop told Ananya that they had arrested one boy who owned the bike and the other boy was Ritesh. He told her that they came to arrest him. Ananya's heart bursted into tears. Her parents stood frozen as they didn't understand what was happening. Police went in search of Ritesh. They found his room locked from inside. They broke the door and found Ritesh lying on the ground with few pills in his hand. He was taken to the hospital and he was survived.

That evening in the hospital, Ritesh was lying on the bed, Ananya and her parents were standing next to him. Ritesh slowly opened his eyes. Ananya asked in a furious tone, "Was that's you Ritesh?" Tears rolled on his cheeks. "This morning, when you told about the incident I came to know that it was you. I was afraid. I am sorry sista. If I knew that it was you, I won't let that happen." He bowed his head in shame. Nirmala and Prakash were devastated that they had not raised him properly. Ananya walked away with disgust knowing that her younger brother was a spoiled brat. He has a intoxicated mindset. He respects his mother and loves his sister but he forgot that every girl is someone's daughter or a sister or a girl friend. 

Please respect every girl before you love your mother, sister and daughter. Because she's somebody's daughter, sister or wife.
