Mrs. Acharya was trying to listen, very patiently, as the newly appointed intern girl Sonali, the daughter of a gentleman of an old acquaintance, assigned under her during her training period kept on chattering about her family, house, even her pet dog.

Within all that blabbering, the particular phrase " my brother whom you must have seen in my father's shop", caught Mrs.Acharya's attention.

Then came the babies, not one but many in the form of one pregnancy after another, and each lasted for only a few weeks and got aborted automatically. Mrs. Acharya went on getting weaker in body and depressed due to the crevices that had appeared in her relationship with her husband and in-laws due to her inability to give them the heir of the family, as they liked to put it.

After failed treatment in many renowned hospitals because she had some problems in her system to maintain the pregnancy till full term, finally God did show some mercy for her and she had to be hospitalized for full 9 months in a hospital under the scrutinizing observations of the renowned specialists and her daughter was born by a tough operation, in which her weak ruptured uterus also had to be removed because of profuse bleeding, which could have killed her
