Raj - The Private Operative

Raj Anand had just started his career as a private operative in the city of joy, Kolkata. He had rented an office and put up large hoardings, declaring himself as a detective.

He did not have to wait much for his first case, as he got one soon!

It was the case of a fourteen year old girl, missing!! It took a lot of time, strategic planning and execution work. A 14-year-old girl was claimed to be missing by her family members. When they were done searching through every nook and corner of the city and crying at the police’s doorstep, they came to Raj. 

Raj understood the pain of the parents, how crude people were being to them saying that their daughter didn’t have morals and that she had run away with a boy!

However, the parents were stubborn enough that something ill had happened to their daughter and she did not run away with anyone by her own.

Raj Anand began to look at every minute details in the case. He checked her phone’s history and messages, talked to her school friends, neighbors and finally came to the conclusion that there was a 16-year-old boy from 11th standard who spent quite a lot of time with this girl.

It had been almost ten days since the girl went missing. The boy was regularly coming to the school, so no one suspected him. But Raj knew something was not right and he was not telling the complete truth. Raj went through his chats and records and found one unknown number which he talked to while he was in school or when he was out.

That number was of that missing girl. She had become pregnant with this boy’s child and ran away panicking. She thought that this boy would save her, instead, he got her to an abortion Centre and removed the child! This took a toll on the girl’s health. Moreover she was not ready to move back home since she feared about her parents' reaction and society's stigma.

Raj Anand followed the boy one day and finally reached the hideout. Raj had called the police and together they had carried out this sting operation. They caught both of them and brought them to the police station and then called their parents. Raj tried and convinced the girl’s parents that they should now just take care of her and not scold or beat her as already she had gone through a lot in the past few days.

The boy was given a warning and nothing major happened as he was under 18. His parents were warned and conveyed that if he ever comes near to the girl, an FIR would be charged against him.

The girl's parents and the police thanked Raj Anand for his aid in solving this case. Afterall he had saved the life of a teenage girl from becoming abusive.

The police code named Raj as Mr. Operative and assured that they would call him up in case they need his aid. And Mr. Operative was satisfied for solving his first case and earning his first income. In fact the former gave him more satisfaction than earning a few bucks.
