Poco And Mosso

In a small forest their lived few woodpeckers in a group making their nests in big huge trees. Now the young had to move to different location as there were no new trees. So, our dear Poco and Mosso the strong young woodpeckers had decided to move close to a lake in the forest. There were good number of trees near the lake. But most of his other family members were worried as there was a wild cat living near the lake and most of them failed to make their nest.

Poco and Mosso were sure that they will build there nest up high on the tree and it will be difficult for the cat to reach their nest. Poco reached near the lake and selected a huge old tree to build their nest. Poco started, later both Mosso and Poco were taking turns for drilling to carve a nest in the tree. Suddenly they felt that the tree was shaking and then they noticed that the wild cat had already climbed the tree and was half way. Poco & Mosso were not sure what to do and they flew back to their friends.

Poco explained to all his friends that if they live close to the lake they will have plenty of food and except for the wild cat it is a safe place. Poco also explained them his plan chase the cat away.

The next morning all woodpecker in the forest started flying near the lake. Each bird occupied a tree and stated making sounds by drilling trees. Listening to so many noises at a time, the wild cat got frightened and ran away. Once the wild cats left all the woodpeckers stopped making noise and left to their nests.

Poco and Mosso completed their nest near the lake and lived happily ever after.
