We are a lower middle class family. My father was a Govt servent. My mother was a house wife. We were three brothers. I am the youngest. The eldest one was a banker. The elder to me was an outstanding officer in CPOs. But for me the pilot of strength was my mother. Though she was semi litterate. But she knew that education is fundamental to achieve higher goals in life. So she left the village with all the three kids to get them better education in a city.
Where as everyone in the village discouraged her. But she was adamant and she left for a city. My father being in low paid job, it was hard for her to make two ends meet. But this was her caliber of managing situations that family hardly faced a worst situation. Once I remember my father was ill with typhoid. On the other hand she was alone in the city.
There I saw her determination she didn't ask for any help from any quarter. Whenever my father got frustrated she always pitched in, to tell him not to worry. So her continuous struggle made my father come out of typhoid. And she never stopped her kids from doing anything. Until and unless that is proper. She had a uncanny skill of getting better with all who so ever come into contact with her.
In her entire life, I never so her quarreling with anyone. When I use to study she never let me do any other work. So that I can concentrate on it. Biggest lesson I learnt from her was that never break relations with anyone, come what may. Another plus from her was that she was never superstitious. She had a scientific bend of mind.
