It Happens Only In India

It was the freezing night of December, me & my freind Mayank stopped our bike near a small egg stall. We got down from the bike & asked the stall guy to give two plate hot boiled eggs with onions on it. Mayank enquired chotu (stall guy) about his father to which he told that two weeks back his father passed away. Chotu's face looked familiar to me but I was unable to recall where I saw him. He bought two plates of boiled egg with onions with salt & pepper sprinkled on it.

As we enjoyed the hot eggs in cold weather Mayank started 'My dad told me that he will give the donation of 10 Lakhs to buy a bank job seat'. 'But you didn't clear the IBPS exam right?' I asked. 'What is the use of studying when dad has connections, why should I waste my time when I already know that I will get the job' he laughed & continued '& who the hell asks such kind of questions in exam, which state adopted one person one car policy, who cares', we both laughed out loudly. Suddenly we heard 'West Bengal' we looked around, it was the stall guy, he was staring right at us 'It was announced by Mamata Banerjee on 5th July 2018 in West Bengal'. I took out my mobile & googled 'IBPS topper 2017'. The first link showed the tagline as 'Egg seller's son Top in IBPS Exam' below was the picture of chotu with his mom & dad. Chotu asked 'sir 20 rupees for two plates'. With a shame on his face Mayank gave 20 rupees to chotu & with our heads down we sat on bike, as Mayank started the bike I heard someone saying 'Aye Chotu teen plate omelette bana jaldi' Chotu replied 'Ji Sir'.
