In light of the recent killing of George Floyd do you think we can eliminate racism from the world?
Having been in lockdown for several months now, it’s not surprising that many of us have explored the untouched side of ourselves. This period has come up with a 360-degree turn in our lives. It has taught us to enjoy the present, rediscover passions, connect with nature, and value coexistence. I'm not the same person now than the one I was at the beginning of all this. We all should think about this topic.
Well, I believe racism is like a tree that has its roots spread far and wide across the world and in order to end such atrocities this tree needs to be uprooted from the roots. This is only possible when we teach our future generations to look beyond one's physical appearances and to show love and appreciation towards a person regardless of him being a man of colour or not. We need to teach them that an equal world will be a better world. We Must understand that our compassion and respect needs to be for everyone, overlooking the sects and divisions made by man. It's a shame on being a human if even on Today's generation we are bringing inhumanity and judging our own people as superior or inferior merely Based on different colour, caste and creed. I feel man-made racism is inferior and we humans - God's creation is superior among all. We together need to accept it and respect it that we all are equal. We need to pour ourselves with love and gratitude for beautifully diversified world where we live in. Let's make it one home rather than Breaking it into millions. As Nelson Mandela said:- "It is in our hand to create a better world for all who lives in it." So Let's join hands together, spreading love and showing the power of Unity and equality. Let's fight racism.
It seems to be a modern century with conservative minds. I feel every country should take strong actions against the non-human activities. Tougher regulations should come into play that could scare the non-humans. If the birth of racism is from a man, then he's the only entity who can prevent the damages as a result of it. People all over the globe follow different religions which emphasizes the fact that all his childern are equal. So racism against his creation is extremely disrespectful for the Almighty. In this our young generation would play a Major role Since they have new And Innovative thinking which would make a difference in the mindset of our society. No marching, no protests, no campaigns or laws can eliminate racism but the only way to eliminate racism is by changing our thoughts and beliefs. Just change your thoughts just put those people into your shoes and then see How this world will become a better place. The one who discriminates others Based on colour, caste, religion. They certainly don't define others worth, but their own worth which is grown out of low standards of Living. They don't realise that they are the one who needs to work on their thoughts as it is the cause. And the victims of this brutality must not feel ashamed. Instead must stand up raise their voice they must be the change they would wish for. Truth is , there is only one race to the face of earth, human race. No one is born a racist, people learn it, and what people learn they can unlearn. Eradication of bigotry is very subjective, as much as we need to work on it together, Individual efforts of tapping our mindsets which are probably conditioned to think about the superiority and inferiority of races, is necessary. The concept of RACISM was Evolved by humans and only humans possess the power to eliminate RACISM from the world. Change the foundation of which is laid by hate and violence can ever last so long. As much as racism has been degrading to one community it hasn't helped the other rise either. Only when we face racism as one world and uplift each other can we realize the possibility of equality and put an end to racism. Racism has been affecting the people by demoralising them and questioning their right of equality drastically.
Well, this isn't the first time we are coming across an incident of racial discrimination.... these incidents happened many times in the past too followed by outrage all over the world and social media for a month at the most only to have people forgetting about these incidents and getting back to their normal lives.
Racism will end only when we Believe and practice equality, when we realise that every living being deserves to be treated with respect irrespective of their race or any other trait for that matter. Most importantly, when we realise that its it's good to make ourselves feel that we're the best....... but without mistreating others in terms of race, ethnicity or anything else. The day we get to know the actual meaning of love and peace, racism will end.
