Important Papers

Important papers were scattered on the floor. Dad was busy with his work. His little daughter came in frolicking with joy.

“Daddy, can I play in your room?” she said, holding her Barbie doll.

“No, daddy is busy. Go… play outside.” he said, without looking at her.

“But daddy, I won’t disturb you.” she said, pouting.

“Okay… but don’t touch anything.” He warned her. 

After few minutes Dad looked at her. Dad got angry as he saw her writing something on his important paper. He snatched that paper and slapped her, “I had told you not to touch anything. Why did you do that?”

She started crying. As mom rushed in, she ran to her and hid her weepy face over her tummy, wrapping hands around her.

Dad furiously looked at the paper. She had written “I LOVE MY DADDY” with her childish drawing of his face.

Dad was thunderstruck after reading it. He felt guilty of his instant reaction.
