Yes Nidhi, I confess feeling jealous of you during our college days with an equal amount of admiration! The admiration continues till today and jealousy doesn't exist now.

I couldn't cycle at all and you could win the slow cycle race. Although I was the first to cheer you up but I felt from inside why I had the fear of sitting on the bicycle and you could easily master it.

Considered to be a better student than you, I would always feel irritated because you had better handwriting and a superior way of presenting any topic. How you could underline each heading with green, blue and red ink and I couldn't.

Your popularity, talkative nature and taking things in a very bindaas manner used to frustrate me during those days as I was less communicative and difficult to get along with everyone. You were capable of befriending any difficult person!

Your calculations of money and frankness related to sharing of any amount when it came to buying ice creams or payment for samosas at the college canteen was something which I always hesitated to do. Asking for money in our group was not at all a dignified talk for me but you could do with so much of ease. I did feel jealous of you during those times.

I would also like to mention that when I got married at a very young age and your studies could continue as your parents couldn't find a suitable match for you, was quite a big reason for my jealousy. It was like 'see she will get her Master's degree and I would have to start a new journey of life altogether. '

The list of comparison is never ending till today but after so many years now that we've become grandmothers, the jealousy doesn't remain and has given way to total admiration. Love you so much my bestie!
