How the love was

Dear love,

Amidst my studies, amidst my works, amidst all the chaos in today's world, I may have forgotten you. But not our love, no. I still remember how the love was.

Recently, I've been trying to get back to writing. I feel that there are only two things I am good at writing about: love and inspiration. So come, my love, let us reminisce how the love was.

The love was eternal. No matter what happened, the lovers always had each other's back. It was unaffected by any worldly thing. The love was time tested. The lovers cried together, laughed together. They stayed away from each other at times, but the love remained there. The love was more than just emotion or feeling. It was an active choice of action for the lover, by the lover. The emotions were temporary, but the actions, the care were permanent. The love was fearless. The lovers never hesitated to share anything. They showed each other their true, raw self, free of any kind of veil.

The love was beautiful. Just one thought about the lover was enough to make one smile. If the two lovers were far, they would play with their pillow thinking it was the other person.

The love was true. Because all that I have said above is not how the love was. It is how the love still is. So many phases and people come and go from our lives. But not so for love. Love stays.
