I was passing by a graveyard. This was the only path to go to another village. Even though it had people's moments, it was horrible for me. The thing which was negligible for others was too much for me. After all, I was in a graveyard. A banyan tree stood there and arrangements were made for sitting around it. On a wall, there was a big clock, on which dust was layered. It was showing time 6:00 pm. A weird kind of sketch was formed on the clock because of rusting. With fear inside, that sketch seemed horrible to me. So removing my eyes from there, and focusing elsewhere I marched towards the village. That time suddenly I stopped hearing someone crying. I turned back and saw a kid crying near a grave. Should I go there? Thinking that I stood there. At that time an old man's voice shocked me, "It's the grave of her mother. She suffered a lot in her life."

The latter words I don't know why increased my keenness to know about it. I asked him, "Why, What happened to her?"

That old man replied, "She was a well-behaved woman. Her name was Shanu. She was always worried about kids and family, but..." he stopped speaking.

I asked with astonishment," But, but what?"

That old man replied," But Shanu was ugly. Not at all attractive. The black complexion and it seems that his husband Shabeer married her only for wealth. And then he started to hate her. Still, she used to fulfilling every word of her husband. With a hope that one day Her husband would love her. But her love for her husband was never understood by Shabeer and he always teased her. You see that shade of a tree, She used to sit and cry there for hours. I told her to leave her husband, but that woman suffered all things for her kids."

With a serious voice, I said, "At least her kids were loving her. However is the mother, kids always love her."

The old man left a weird smile and said, "Shanu committed suicide a year ago."

With surprise, I asked, "Suicide? Why?"

The old man said, "One day, Shanu's husband Shabeer was too much angry with her. They quarrelled a lot. Shabeer said many mean things to her and she heard them without any sign of opposing. Her husband was making fun of her but she suffered all this until Her lad, this crying Kasim spoke, "Mom, don't come to drop me at school. My friends make me fun that your mother looks like a witch." hearing this she was left broken. And she hangs herself on the branch of this banyan tree."

God knows why all the pithiness I had towards that kid faded away, at that time a beautiful lady came, and stretching Kasim's ears she pulled and slapped him and said, "You idiot, I searched you in the whole village and you're here. Come home, who will do the work?"

I looked with astonishment at that old man.

Raising his stick that old man said, "She is his stepmother Gulaabo. Shanu's husband married her after Shanu's suicide just for her beauty which made him go crazy. But honestly, I must say sir, after her interference the heaven which Shanu formed is completely ruined and turned into Hell. But whatever happens, happens for good. Because of this lady, the beauty of Shanu's heart was understood by her husband Shabeer and kid Kasim. And that's why he comes here and speaks the same thing. "Mom I was blind, I didn't understand. Why did you leave me, mom? Take me with you."

With sad eyes I looked at the watch, it was 7 pm. My eyes again stopped at that sketch, a beautiful face was staring and smiling glaring at me. Removing the sweat from my forehead I started walking for the village."
