Chimpu Zebu Friends Forever

A heard of zebras were grazing in grass land in a deep forest. Among the herd was a little zebra by name Zebu, who was unable to bear heat of sun. This summer it was very hot. Unable to bear heat Zebu started crying. Her mother was grazing next to her. She understood her problem and asked her little one to go and stand under shade. There was a huge tree, not very far. Zebu quickly followed her instructions and was under the shade. She was very happy under the tree. After a little while Zebu started feeling hungry and was not able to decide where she need to go, under the hot sun to eat or stand under the shade. Zebu started going to the grassland, as it was too hot she could not go further and returned to the shade. Zebu was hungry, standing in the shade she was not knowing what to do.

Suddenly few leaves fell from the tree. Zebu started eating them and was very happy. As soon as she finished eating those leaves, again the leaves were falling from the tree. She was not sure what was happening. But was very much happy. Little later when sun started going down, Zebu`s mother walked close to her and took her back to the heard.

Next day Zebu was again under the shade and leaves started falling for her. Now she was wondering how this could be possible. She started looking up and searching for some one. Suddenly she saw a baby Chimpanzee by name Chimpu on top of the tree. Soon Zebu and Chimpu became good friends. Now, daily they started playing under the shade, ate leaves and fruits from the tree and enjoyed. Gradually this had become their daily routine.

After few days, Zebu`s other zebra friends came to know about Chimpu. They started telling Zebu that, Chimpu is black and ugly and he cannot be a friend of beautiful zebras. Listening to what her other zebra friend were saying, Zebu stopped going to that tree. Few days pasted, Zebu was always sad and not paying with her zebra friends. Zebu`s mother was worried. She asked her the reason why she was sad. Zebu told her mother how she met Chimpu and how they became good friends. And also, about how she started avoiding Chimpu after listening to her other Zebra friend’s advice.

Zebu`s mother was really upset. She said to Zebu that physical things like color, height and appearance is not a quality of someone. Rather they should be judge on their honesty, helping nature and good manners. And if you are happy with them then really, they are your good friends.

Zebu understood and rushed back to the tree and was looking all around the tree. She could not find Chimpu. She was sad under the shade for a long time. After waiting for a long time, she could not find Chimpu. Zebu started crying and then suddenly few leaves fell from the tree. Zebu stood up eagerly looking for Chimpu. Chimpu came down from the tree. Zebu and Chimpu started playing with each other again. Now Chimpu and Zebu became friends forever.
