Chapter- 2

Y/N's POV-

"Are you coming with us for the lunch thing?" Jess asked. I looked her up from the brim of my glasses and "I am trying to finish this up as soon as I can." I said going back to typing on the laptop. "Alright hon, I am going for the interview okay, text me if you are coming!" she smiled. "Alright! I'll be heading out for some more research for this blog, I'll let you know whatever the plan is okay?" I said getting up. "Oh, who are you interviewing today?" I asked as we got out of the house. "It's Seventeen's second part of the interview, with some random games and all," she informed. "Oh, no wonder they asked to have lunch together! You are living your life aren't you?" I laughed. "Says the one who is always traveling to new places that not on her own expenses." she playfully rolled her eyes. "It's not as good as it looks." I shook my head as she headed to her car. "Want me to drop you somewhere?" she asked and I shook my head as I headed the other way. "God! I really wish I get to go for that lunch I need a break!" I thought to myself. 

Mingyu's POV-

We got ready for the interview and left. It was our last day in New York and then we were going back to Korea. "Hey, guys! Are you ready for the final interview?" Jess asked and everyone smiled as they nodded their head. We entered the interview room and settled on the seats arranged. My eyes trailed towards where all the staff members were standing and I couldn't find the familiar, warm face from yesterday. "Maybe she is not coming." I thought to myself. "So your friend isn't here today?" Vernon asked Jess and she shook her head, "She said she has some research to do and headed out but she'll be joining us for the lunch, she texted me." she smiled. "I will finally be able to see her finally." I thought to myself as a smile formed on my face. "Mingyu why are you smiling like that?" Wonwoo asked. "I am not smiling!" I said as he frowned, "Okay okay!"

After we were done with the interview, Jess took us to a bustling restaurant near her company. When we reached there, Y/N was already there seated in one of the booths. She waved at Jess and we followed her. "You weren't supposed to come!" I spurted. "What?" she frowned. "You didn't want me to be here?" she asked. I didn't mean it that way...I was too excited and spoke nonsense. Before I could explain all the members started apologizing to her on my behalf. "Mingyu hyung...What's wrong with you???" Seungkwan frowned.

Y/N's POV-

Wow-what a jerk! He didn't want me here and he's clearly expressing that too! "Mingyu hyung...What's wrong with you???" Seungkwan said a bit irritated. "Umm...anyways...Jess I'll have to leave today evening for Seoul." I said trying to change the topic. "This evening? Weren't you leaving tomorrow?" she asked and I nodded. "My boss wants me back there by tomorrow," I informed. "That's sad!" she whined. "Oh, you are going back to Seoul tonight?" Vernon asked and I nodded. "Oh we are going back tonight as well." he smiled. "Haha we might end up in the same flight." I laughed and then looked at Mingyu. "But someone might not like that either." I rolled my eyes as I made a sarcastic comment. "Ahh! It would be nice having you around for a little longer." Dino smiled. "Hahaha really?" I laughed. "Are you trying to flirt with her Dino?" Jess asked grinning. "Ohh no no!" he said becoming flustered. 

The rest of the lunch went by pretty good and we all decided to have ice creams together. "Jess...I need you to visit me soon! It has been years we haven't hung out." I pouted and she nodded. "College days were fun." she smiled. "Oh yes! I totally agree." I grinned. "You guys seem to be really close," Joshua mentioned. "We used to be roomies!!!" Jess linked her arm with me.

After we came back home, Jess frowned at my already packed bags. "It feels like the time when you moved to Korea from London." he pouted. "Well, visit me soon silly, and your parents too." I smiled hugging her. "I am seeing you off till the airport," she said pulling back. "You don't have to." I frowned. "Shut up!" he narrowed her eyes at me. "Alright alright!" I laughed giving up. After around an hour, we left for the airport as Jess made sure that I had packed everything in need. "Oh my god seems like you are my mom Jess!" I laughed and got a smack on my head in return. "Ouch!" I rubbed the back of my head. "Oh! Jess, Y/N?" we heard a voice. "Oh Jeonghan?" she exclaimed. "Looks like we are going back together too!!!" Hoshi exclaimed from behind. 

I really didn't expect to be traveling back with them but we were all sitting together in the plane and somehow I ended up sitting next to Kim Mingyu!
