Blackmail

              There was a young scientist who was the youngest director in some government institution. There would be very bright future for him in his career. Everybody was of the opinion that he would be the head of the department at some point of his service in his life. It was speak out that he had also some political support which would help him a lot. There were few regional centres in the department for better administration and governance for the prosperity of services to end user. Head of the office sent him as director in one of the regional centres. Since he was new in administration of the big region, he used to take opinion indirectly from them through discussion while dealing with his subordinates. Some of the selfish and self centered officers and staff caught him in their trap as per their plan. It was a part of conspiracy from jealous junior officers to him as he was the main obstacle in their prospect to reach the last landmark of their career.

         Slowly but steadily, the supported conspiracy group as per master plan clamed him in many false financial matter. It was noticed all facts and plan, but he couldn’t do any thing except surrendering them. The supported staff started taking undue advantage from him and they were troubling the innocent other sincere workers in the region which was directly and indirectly in his control. There was angriness among the suffering staff due to harassment.

        There was an elected union in the office for welfare of staff to handle their problems in region. The union leader was also the part of that mal-practicing group. Innocent and sincere workers were suppressed from either sides. There was no god father for them. Some of the workers decided to form separate group and decided to bring no confidence motion against same union leader as desperate time calls for desperate measures . They accordingly informed the administration and their central union leadership. But administration was not agreed to their proposal as there was no such laws in the constitution of recognized union. A thousand miles journey begins with single steps. They didn’t give up the mission. Some of the staff would sent daily reports of mal-practices in the office by post card to head of the office at head quarter.

          Tenure of union was about to finish as time and tide wait for no man. The group decided to fight against anti-union supporter. The union leader was involved in all these ill activities. He therefore started mounting pressure with help of administration on group members so that there shouldn’t be any opponent against him in the election. There was indirect support of director to the existing union leader because of his loopholes. Anti-employee group was blackmailing the administration to take strict action against new existing union group. Most of them were targeted unnecessarily. Hence most of employees couldn’t support the newly formed group directly. But they exercised their voting rights in favor of them. The newly elected union leader discussed various concerned matters with director in his capacity on number of occasions. He would give him assurance to run through all matters. He also told him that he would be always unbiased as chief of the office. But he took it with pinch of salt ignoring union leader. Although there was change in leadership of union ,but there wasn’t any anticipated change in attitude of the administration. Situation remained unchanged as before which causes frustration in the newly elected body. Staff was still suffering as in the past due to violation of rules by pro administration.

                One day some of the newly elected members entered in the chamber of director. They were discussing various staff points with him. Instead of any amicable solution to staff side problem, he used to provoke them. One of the union leader couldn’t hold his horse due to his odd behavior. There was some sort manhandling with him by some of the leaders in the cabin when there wasn’t present any supporter of him. When this news was spread in premises, the admin officer called police in the office. The police came into the office for inquiry. Instead of facing the police, he left his chamber and went to his home. Police went back by just completing the official procedure .The complaint was launched against the concerned employee to the police as well as headquarter and FIR was made against him. Bail was granted to him.   

            There was a high level inquiry in this matter from the headquarter. There were so many complaints against him from staff. High level delegation had arrived from headquarter for investigation. Actually there were two wings or lobbies playing their vital role in this matter. It was the fight between north lobby and south lobby. No body was ready to compromise on matter due to their own long term vested interest. Delegation leveled some allegation against director and few supporters. He and his supporters were transferred in different places different corners of the country on punishment. The director was Cold feet due to incident who was also transferred to head quarter. He couldn’t be happy there due to humiliation  of black stigma over him. He was psychologically disturb man who was already reached in the state of partial depression. After few month, he lost his lovely alone son due to sun-stroke at headquarter. As you sow, so you shall reap. It was very socking news to the parent. Both get shocked mentally due to this ill incident. After few months ,he was attacked by brain hemorrhage .He went later into coma for several months and took his last breath in the unconsciousness state without touching the landmark of his life leaving his sad wife.

        He couldn’t benchmark to his target as he committed the blunder in his life due to evil company. There were very selfish people as well as sincere good workers all around him. He ought to be very sincere with all staff and should had followed the rules. If he viewed all staff by one eye, he would haven’t trapped into problems. Then he could had overcome the conspiracy at the headquarter.
