There was fellow citizen of orange city who was delinked from his native village to town and further from town to city. It was the hottest day of the season in the orange city. There was a very urgent work for him in the city on that working day. Being the government servant ,he had taken the leave from office for that important work. He went to concerned office which was far away from his home in the very hot summer. He was continuously sweating through out his journey in prevailing heat wave condition in the peak of season. His dress was getting completely wet and dry continuously. There was no option for the faced problem. If he didn’t work hard, he wouldn’t be succeeded in getting his work done. The work was get done, after hard work for more than three to four hours. He wasn’t be happy ,even after been successful in the mission. It was too horrible situation due to extreme hotness which ruined his happiness. When he came back to home late in the afternoon ,he was totally exhausted. As soon as he homed, his wife asked him to eat food. He wasn’t able to eat food due to tiredness. Anyhow he managed it and came back to bed for cat nap.

No sooner did he had a cat nap than the door bell started ringing. The door was opened to know who arrived in the peak hot. There was postman who came with some mail for him. He laughed at him as he had seen him after long time. He just questioned to him that he was perhaps on leave due to extreme hot. He replied him that He had some unavoidable urgent important work on that day. He had homed just before his arrival. The postman handed over him the invitation card of marriage. He made fun with him that he had received the invitation from his father- in-law certainly. If so, then it would be the matter of huge expenditure, he commented. He said to the postman why he didn’t bring the mail carrying cheque by cutting joke with him. Postman replied to him , would he not bring the life insurance cheque after maturity !. after passing that remark ,he ran away from there. when he opened the invitation from his ancestor, he came to know about marriage of his farthest nephew.

Though he was delinked bodily from his native place, still his emotions were attached to the mud. While reading the card, he went for sound sleep remembering past events of his ancestors. He used to go to his native place with his father frequently when he was a child. He would go for swimming in the river. He used to play many village games with the companions in the field. He got along with many teenager friends of the village. Some of the friends were his relatives too. There were many oxen in his home. He would feed them with his hands. There was a lot of fun in those days in the native place. He also remembered that he had gone to his village after marriage. When he was about to touch his village ,he was hit by the stone lying on the ground where he lost his balance. Anyhow, he controlled himself and heard the sound from an old man. The old man recognized him. He alerted him, be carefully, while walking on these paths. He said to him that village paths were not as smooth as roads in the city. Looking at the old man keenly, he remembered him. Then he inquired about the situation in the village and welfare of his relatives. He said with sorrow that there was no change in the village condition in comparison with the town and city. They were as in the past. There were no additional sources of income for the villagers except farming. Rural economy totally based on nature’s sympathy. If it rained in time, it would  produced the bumper crop. Otherwise we would have to sow many times in the season incurring additional expenditure. If by chance the crops are healthy, then heavy rain and hailstorm destroy them. If it so not happened, it would be washed away either by heavy rain, flood or water released from the dam. Sometimes there would be various crop diseases which destroy the crop often. We had to save these crops from birds as well as animals. If there was a bumper production, then there would be no respectable rates in the market. We were again cheated and looted by the middle man. If Something saved after crossing all these hurdle, then we would had to pay to money lender and bank . There were so many responsibilities like repairing of home, animal shelter, marriages of family members so on. We had to make provision of money for next year farming and disasters. He couldn’t make himself understood how the farmers would manage all these financial business and over come these crises. Why didn’t these farmers choose another business when it wasn’t helpful them. The old main said to him that a bird in hand is worth than two birds in bush. All of sudden, there was a laud call from his wife asking him to get up immediately which broke his dream and sound sleep. She brought a cup of tea for him. She instructed him that he should had to do so many jobs after taking tea. Otherwise he wouldn’t get time for them on working days.
