An evening that changed my life

While everyone has a good day, a good month, good weekend, and others. I had a good evening, an evening that changed my life forever.

1 year ago.. 

I came from work. I was tired. and wanted to chill and release all the tiredness. But as always I skipped the thought and straightly chose ice cream on my bed with television on. I adjusted everything and was ready to jump into my pyjamas to complete my evening which was everyday routine. As soon as I was leaving. I heard the knocking of door. as soon as I opened I saw my parents standing with a cheerful smile. that clearly showed that they have something in their mind. I gave a smile to let them explain their plan so that I can successfully complete my evening. I was shocked when I heard them saying it. they arranged a dinner for me. I was happy to hear that though I doubted too. But soon accepted the fact that they are my parents after all.

Still something fishy was missing and that was yet to be discovered. I moved my face in appreciation and got ready but found my mom helping me to get ready. It was strange as it's been 7 years now of getting ready myself. Still, I ignored it, but those gold earrings of hers, which she always refuses to give. was in my hands with love in some seconds. Now I understood there's something strange. I got ready and was leaving but saw my parents accompanying me. I was happy as it was too long since we went on a family dinner together. But still I had various thoughts in my mind. dad drove us to the most expensive restaurant. I couldn't believe my eyes. As they were my parents who actually took me to a fancy restaurant. The list was getting longer now.

He enquired something and we left for our destination. It was on 14th floor. and that's when they were ready to erase my list and solve all the confusion. They enquired that I'll be having a meeting with a rich guy who chose me to marry him. I blushed at first but couldn't believe that a rich guy would choose me. I went further. We reached the assigned floor and went to the table. My heart beats were raising at an alarming rate. Finally, there he was, sitting in a fancy yet expensive suit.

He stretched out his hand and it would not be wrong to say that it was love at first sight for me. He was handsome and I was about to faint seeing a rich man with a beautiful heart. My parents left us to carry on the conversation. and as Bollywood movies. we went on a walk on a road surrounded with so many trees shedding their leaves. We started sharing likes. dislikes and continued other talks. Everything was going well. it was strange to digest the fact that he was a down to earth person. He was humble. We had many things in common. We enjoyed each other's company and had the best evening counted in the best memories of life. we went back and saw our parents eagerly waiting for the answer. And we hugged them and approved the partners chosen by them.

Soon we got married and later I realized that it was love at first sight for him too. Iit's 1 year since then and we're happy in our lives. Happily married and living the best days of our lives. It truly was the best evening that changed everything and gave me a person to treasure for many births. That evening bought us together forever.
