An Era Without Internet

In today's world, one cannot imagine their lives without internet. We are so dependent on it that spending a waking moment without it seems like a nightmare.

One cannot even imagine a life without the worldwide web.

What would our lives be without the net is a question that will shock most. Well, we seem to have forgotten our times i.e., the 90s era, an era when technology was in its development stage. Even watching television as we do in today's time was not an option then.

Imagine a scene

Day of the week: Wednesday

A day when back in the 90s a household with an idiot box would be seen sitting in front of their tv, eyes glued to the screen waiting for Doordarshan (the only channel available then) to air its signature tune which was then followed by Chitrahaar. Why, at times neighbours and friends used to flock our house just so they could watch the TV and if you had a coloured TV set well, you might as well be crowned as a king or queen.

We invented our own games to help us while time during holidays. Picnics with family and friends was something which we looked forward too and preparations were done way in advance. Today we still go for picnics but, somehow that feeling and enthusiasm we had back then is missing for the charm of preparing snacks by hand has been replaced by online food ordering applications.

Now, am not saying anything wrong about these. Surely, these apps are a boon in today's world but, the love and the warmth that went into making things back then is what is missing in today's time.

Life without the internet was happy and families were closer. Internet, on the other hand, has made life easier for people but, has made families apart.
