An Alien On A Mission

Charu feels guilty as she has done what is never expected by the parents from their children. However, her bold step to know DNA has left her stunned. It is hard to believe that confirmation of her biological father would lead her to her life’s most shocking truth that she is not even an inhabitant of the planet Earth. Whatever life she has lived as a human being is all lie. She is an alien, a resident of the planet Antrina. She begins howling alone. When Abhay and Yuvaan ask her about her grief, she lies that she is fed up with the complexities of her life. 

The sunsets leaving around her a thick layer of darkness. She recalls her days spent with lovely, kind-hearted human beings who have taught her the value of relationships. She knows now how the Earthians are connected with each other emotionally. She has learned different emotions from her parents, grandmother, friends, Abhay during her stay with them while continuing her successful life’s journey. Since her infancy, she has been experiencing this bond, and now knowing the frightful truth of her existence she is sad, heartbroken, and considering it an unfortunate twist of her life.

She is upset while thinking about her motherland where everything is so mechanical and dull that the Goddess has to send the residents to the Earth to absorb precious emotions – love, joy, hope, gratitude, kindness, and a feeling of togetherness. She is so overwhelmed with joy finding that in spite of being an alien she has experienced positive emotions of the planet Earth. She is delighted that she has in her heart all these positive emotions and wants her community too to absorb them. On her planet, there is no rule regarding the unification of partners. There is nothing like nuptial vows, lifelong commitment among parents, siblings, and spouses.

Since the day of her knowledge about past life connections, she has been a confused being for her inability to relate her relations with Sheryl earlier. But now she is free of anxiety as she knows she is the reincarnation of Sheryl. She is a Zygote and to hide her identity from the Mermitans, the goddess Athena may have erased her memory. Athena has clearly expressed her wish, who to enter the planet Antrina. It is Zygotes who are chosen to return to their land. Her DNA code is the indication that the Khopesh Sword is waiting for her. Charu is the only one who knows the truth where the code inscribed on the sword is present. She is alert and feels responsible for her community. 

“They need me, as I am the person who can lead them to their real home. But without revealing the truth to the Mermitans how shall I do this secretly? Moreover, I don’t know if Abhay, Yuvaan, or my so-called father Mani, are Zygotes too. What to say about my DNA code and purpose of my arrival to this planet?” Charu is talking to herself. She is scared of what will happen if Abhay comes to know about her alien identity?

In the cave, she asks the Zygote King how to identify the community members among human beings. He smiles and says, “Those who’re made with the same substance can notice the resemblance, an inner connection, and feeling of oneness in one another.”

“How can you feel when you are devoid of emotions?”  Charu further asks.

The King takes a pause and replies, “Where do you feel comfortable in our company or in the group of Mermitans?”

Charu prefers not to answer as it may reveal her truth. She says, “I am a human being, not an alien. How can you expect an answer to such question from me?”

The King realizes his mistake. He apologizes and this creates serious doubt in Charu’s mind. It is confirmed that she is a Zygote then why the King is failed to recognize her. The tiny Zygote says that the community needs her but the King hasn’t said anything like this. It means the King is in reality a Mermitans and has entered the community to know the next move of the Zygotes. 

To be sure again, she asks, “Where do you think the code will be found?” 

He utters, “It may be in this cave. This is the reason I am sincerely looking for it.” 

“How can you say with surety? It may be with Mermitans.” 

“No, it’s not there. I can swear on the goddess.”

Charu is right. A Mermitans has entered. Then where is the Zygote king? 

There’s another question that continuously disturbs her. How is it possible that for so many years the human beings haven’t discovered her distinct identity? Are they so blockheaded? Or, her transformation is so perfect that none have imagined that an alien can reside with them. It may happen that some of her family members are also zygotes. But aliens don’t die. Her mother, grandmother has died. Her father’s DNA is of a human being.

She returns home, and after dinner, she offers a cup of coffee to Mani and asks who has brought her to the family? He replies, “In the hospital, my wife gave birth to a dead baby. The doctor advised hiding the truth from her as she was very weak. So, uncle Vincent brought you within an hour, saying your mother died while giving birth to you. So we gladly accepted you. Later, none from your original family came to enquire about you. Slowly, we forgot that you were not biologically connected to us. And we never felt a need to tell you the truth.”  

Where have you met uncle Vincent? Charu interrogates.

In the hospital when the doctor gave me news of the dead baby, I began crying. It was midnight. I was in the hospital with my wife. I couldn’t consult with my mother as she was at home. I didn’t know how to console my wife. I had lost my baby and was not ready to lose my wife. All of a sudden, Vincent appeared and said that he had heard what the doctor had advised. He gave me the idea of adopting a newborn baby immediately. He was ready to help me. He saved my family by gifting you to me. Since that day he has been my well-wisher and my family member. 

“It means Uncle Vincent is a zygote and he knows my reality. Then, why he hasn’t tried to solve my queries.” Charu decides to meet uncle Vincent. She reaches his residence and finds him reading a book.

She asks, “Can Antrinians enjoy reading books so sincerely?”

Unconsciously he replies, “Why not? We are so developed that we can adopt even the hobbies and interests of other planetarians.”

He turns back realizing what he has said. He is relaxed to see Charu. She is happy to have someone with whom she can make future plans. He asks why she is taking so much interest in an alien community. 

Charu replies, “Today my father has revealed that you know who my actual parents are.”  

She asks if he knows who are the other Zygotes in human form. He is surprised how does she know that he also belongs to that community?

“Let me inform you that my DNA code is different from that of a human. “I have correctly placed together the misplaced information received from different sources and come to the conclusion that you are an alien and you have deliberately made an arrangement for me in Mani’s house.” Charu clears his doubt without asking.

Uncle Vincent looks at her admiringly. He says, “I am proud of you my little zygote. You have always fulfilled my dreams. I first arrive at this planet as Sheryl to know the planet Earth. Now in form of Charu, I choose you, and successfully you have absorbed all emotions just like the human race. I hope you know that only you can send your community back to your planet.”

He changes his appearance and Charu can’t believe that the goddess has been protecting her for so many days in disguise as the uncle. 

She bows her head in reverence and utters, “I feel so blessed that you choose me for your mission. I am a little anxious. Please show me the way to fulfill your dream. “

The goddess offers her a wristband that will help her to recognize other members of her community. The band is invisible and works only if any zygote is near to her. It radiates green light in front of a zygote and a red light if there are Mermitans. She is super excited. Now, she can help zygotes to get united and teach them basic positive emotions which will make her planet the most beautiful planet in the universe. 

With the goddess’s permission, she runs to meet Abhay to check if he is an alien. To her utter surprise, Abhay turns out to be a Mermitan. She invites Yuvaan and finds him a human being. She goes to the cave to check the King and is alert to see he is a Mermitan. She confronts him so strictly that he has to confess that the Zygote king is in his custody.  

She immediately arrests him revealing her identity to everyone. She gathers the members and holds the sword in her hand. In her strong grip, the sword begins emanating bright colors which indicate the time has come to move to leave the planet Earth. She proclaims that she will lead the community as a queen. If any conflict arises she is ready to fight with the Mermitans vigorously. 

The sky is crimson red. The sun has risen scattering hope that a new promising day has been gifted, so utilize it to the most and erase the pain and depression of yesterday.
