"Mom I'm leaving!", Aakriti said in a hurry.

"All the best!'', her mom wished her.

"Mom, it's not my first day of college, it's my first day of the second year!", Aakriti replied.

''Beta you know your mom know, how much she is!", Aakriti's dad replied with laughter. While her mom gave him an angry look.

"Okay maa, I'm getting really late, I'll see you in the evening. Bye! Bye dad!", she waived them and left.

Aakriti was a 20-year-old economics student. She was the only daughter and second child of her parents. She had an elder brother studying in Banglore, while Aakriti and her family residing in Mumbai.

"Hi!", Aakriti waived her friends as she met them.

Aakriti shared a close bond with 4 of her friends making them a group of 5.

"By the way, someone's is coming if Aakriti wants to have a look at!", her friends teased her at the mess area.

Well that someone was Ankit, Aakriti's crush in the college. Since the day one, she liked this boy. Although he was smart and presentable but had a bit dark complexion and this was attracted Aakriti the most.

"Oh my god! Oh my God!", Aakriti screamed.

"Aaku wait! Don't shout like an illiterate. We know you like him, but that doesn't mean you'll shout like anything. It's ok, he's just like any other guy from our college. And control your emotions, otherwise, it won't a minute for Principal sir to show you the gate!", her friend Shreya exclaimed.

"And for your information he already has a girlfriend. Haven't you seen him always having her around? Class mein, canteen me, infact library me bhi?", Parul, her another friend said.

"Ya, my bad! I know! By the way, I'm not doing anything illegal! Why will he suspend me?", Aakriti said.

"You know how weird is our college bro!", all the three others replied in sync.

"Ya ya, I know. Let's go to class now, otherwise, you know that Mrs. Rajni, she'll start again!", Aakriti said and started imitating her professor's weird expressions.

Soon a few days later, they saw a notice.

"Trip to GOA for 4 nights and 5 days for 2nd-year economics students!", Shreya read it aloud.

"Oh wow! Isn't this so amazing!! Last time we couldn't make it, but this time we surely will.'', Parul replied.

"Yes! We will!", all four confirmed.

They were super excited about it. Soon they started with all the preparations. The trip was 2 weeks from then. It was for the first time that Aakriti was going on a trip with friends.

"Aakriti, I know you're very much excited and you should be. But see you are at a very tender age. You haven't seen the world. You don't know what keeps on going every second at some or the other..."

"Maa, I know what you are trying to say. I'll take care of myself and don't worry won't let anyone harm me!", Aakriti told her mom and hugged her.

The next day everyone gathered in the college area. The girl who used to roam with Ankit was also present. Aakriti made an assumption that may be Ankit with also accompany them, but he was nowhere to be seen.

"Okay! Listen, students, since this bus has 2 seater seats, each of you will be sitting with a partner. The list is here. You may proceed as your names are called.", their trip coordinator instructed them.

Soon everyone started sitting. In the end, were left Aakriti and her four friends. They knew one has to sit with someone else.

"Parul and Manvi, you make take seat no 65 and 66."

"Shreya and Neha, you make take seat no 67 and 68."

"Aakriti and Ankita, you make take seat no 69 and 70, the last seats.", Instructor replied and went with other formalities.

"I hope, it's not Ankita of the other section. My god! She's so irritating!", Aakriti told her friends as she waited for her partner.

"Shall we move, have all of you taken your seats?"

"No, sir! Ankita hasn't yet come!", Aakriti replied.

"Ms.Ankita! Ms.Ankita!", coordinator shouted.

"Sir, it is Ankit, not Ankita, Ankit came running and replied." Yes, he was the Ankit whom Aakriti had a crush on.

"You make take your seat, its right beside that miss, seat no. 70"

As Ankit proceeded towards his seat, Parul, Manvi, Shreya, and Nehal started smiling.

While he saw Aakriti with forcefully closed eyes and folded hands, praying "God please please please, not the B section Ankita, please!!"

"Ma'am its Ankit, not Ankita!", Ankit replied.

Aakriti's happiness knew no bounds seeing Ankit as his partner! She couldn't control her happiness.

"You? I mean my partner was supposed to be Ankita but you are..!", Aakriti said him.

"Yes! Just like the coordinator you also got confused. Your partner was supposed to be me, Ankit. I got myself registered for the trip just last afternoon and Ankita of D section that you didn't want your partner to be, got it canceled yesterday. Maybe to avoid some efforts, they didn't change the name! Instead of Ankita, it should've been Ankit. And so am I here!", he replied with a smile.

"Oh! Hi, myself Aakriti", she said as Ankit took his seat.

"Your girlfriend didn't come? I mean your friend, who stays with you all the time? Canteen, classroom, library!", Aakriti questioned him.

"Well, she's not my girlfriend, She's my sister! Yes! And she stays all the time with me because I was making her aware of this place. She has been appointed as an Assistant Professor here for literature. And it's not all the time, it's just when both of us are free, we're together! She's 4 years elder to me!'', Ankit replied.

"Your friends didn't accompany you? I mean see my all four came, and we're so excited that I can't even tell you.. I mean missing a goa trip.."

"Aa..Aakriti, let him speak, yeah!?", Shreya asked her.

"Yes of course, why not!", Aakriti replied with a weird expression.

Well, Aakriti was speaking in such a loud voice and fast speed that all 6 could hear it even from a distance. Afterall she couldn't control her excitement!

"My friends have accompanied me. They're sitting in right before us! I registered late, so I got a seat this last seat, otherwise, I would've been with them!'', Ankit replied.

"Anything else you want to know?", he questioned.

"No, nothing, of course not.!", Aakriti replied.

Well, that was definitely a serendipitous moment for her! She had never expected her partner to be this amazing! Aakriti's trip was already memorable. She was happiest that day!
