Melancholic people usually are considered the most Unfriendly, socially inactive, dark, in a way, highly monotonous company to be with. Well statistics point towards this opinion, though!!

Having said this, I would like to recount the journey of a melancholic soul I know whose way of looking at life made me ponder deeply whatever I knew about melancholia, depression ….was nothing but just an apparent outer facade, which is way too different in reality.

Depressed? Our body is actually asking us to slow down the pace of life , take a break from the rat race, in fact… take DEEP REST is what DEPRESSED indicates. The human mind has immense potential… not only to create, but also to destroy. We think and become what We are…. similarly, we stop thinking completely and that is what when all the accumulated clarity of senses come to your rescue. Now imagine a dirty pond near you…. you keep on throwing pebbles in the water in a way thinking the puddles in the dirty pond might sink down and the water becoming a little clear than before. BUT, there you go!! NO, it won’t happen. Completely stop yourself from throwing pebbles in the already dirty hazy pond water. Let the water rest. Rest a lot. So that after a long time, the puddle will itself settle down, giving the dirty water clarity. Sedimentation of water, so do we call it. Similarly, the Sedimentation of thoughts too is required in the human brain when it so so depressed. The clarity only comes when your wandering thoughts come to a complete standstill and you start being in a state of absolute ‘deep rest’ to bring all the clarity which is completely within you, and you kept running after psychologists, ppsychiatrists or whatsoever thinking you have lost track of yourself, and you start feeling an emptiness within you.

Brain sedimentation of thoughts is what I will like to term my explanation, a newly coined term infact. But that’s exactly how I saw it, and thought sharing it with all. So never worry when you feel depressed, it’s just your body asking you to pause and rest deeply before you begin your journey of life with renewed passion and a crystal clear mind!!!
