A magic show

Tushar went with his parents and younger brother to watch a magic show. It was his first magic show. He studied in class VI and was very excited.

The famous magician Mr. R. Shankar was conducting the show in the grand hall of the city. The entire hall was fully packed with the largest group being children like Tushar.

Tushar and his family occupied the front row. As the magician entered the hall, he was greeted with loud cheers from the audience.

Mr. R. Shankar was wearing a long robe of bright colors and a black hat to complement his outfit. He held a magic wand in his right hand.

Mr. Shankar first took out his handkerchief and covered his hat with it. When he removed the handkerchief, a pigeon came out of it!

Then he took out a ribbon which was on his coat pocket and called Tushar to pull it. Tushar readily went and began to pull it. To everyone's amazement, the ribbon went on extending and when at last it was over, a pile was already created!

Then the magician called his assistant and told him to sleep on the table. Another assistant brought a sword. To everyone's horror, he dissected the assistant sleeping on the table, into two equal halves. Then after some time, he again joined both the parts and the assistant was up on his feet again!

The entire audience was awe-struck!

After that, the magician called a person from the audience and made him float in the air!

Like this the show went on for a little more than an hour!

Thereafter Tushar returned home with his family, being elated and wonder-struck!
