Veeresh was fast sleeping in his assigned cell when the police officer arrived to notify him that he had been granted bail. Veera, as he was known among his friends and family, was one of three implicated in the rape and killing of a young girl named Rekha, surpassed the legal responsibilities to set himself free on bail.

With the exception of a handful of his friends, no one from his family came to see him outside the jail. So he chose to stick with his friends till everything is settled down - close to the slum area where they dwell.

Veera turns 18 in a few months. Anand and Harish, Veera's friends, devise a plan to get him married so that he can begin a new life.

After being released from prison and few days later, Veera falls in love with Mina, a maid working in the neighbouring apartments. One day, Mina happened to visit him in his room but Veera was completely inebriated and alone. She tried to flee right away, but Veera grabbed her from behind. After hearing Mina's scream, the slum inhabitants caught Veera red-handed for attempting to molest her. He had little choice but to cave in to Mina's family and relatives' demands – either marry her or ready to go back to jail.

Veera is no longer the same man he was a few years ago! What a turn of events in his life! He is now happily married with a daughter named Chinnu who is more attached to Veera than to her mother.

Once Chinnu expresses her desire to visit some malls that she has seen only from the outside. Veera felt very bad. On her 3rd birthday, Veera surprises her by taking her to a nearby Mall with Minu and a few of his friends. She was having a fantastic time celebrating her birthday when she mysteriously vanished within the Mall boundaries. Veera, Minu, and his friends scoured every store and childrens' play area, but she was nowhere to be seen. Finally, he called the cops, who arrived and searched the security cameras. They went through all of the CCTV footages, but no use. Late in the night, "Saab, we have to seal the gate", remarked one of the security officers to Veeru. They reach home without Chinnu! Friends and neighbours tried hard to console both of them, especially Veera! After sometime, they also left.

At 2 a.m., Veera is still awake, thinking about Chinnu. So many filthy occurrences flashed into his memory. Meanwhile, Minu fell asleep after sobbing for so long. Suddenly there was a knock on the door. Veera sprang to his feet... rushed to open the door, but no one was there… feeling dejected, he ran out of his room like a maniac, yelling, 'Chinnu, Chinnu'. He could not find anyone, except a few moving vehicles on the road, next to his room.

He returned to his room and laid down again… his eyes welled up with tears once again. He now comprehended the true anguish and feelings that parents in comparable situations, especially parents of Rekha, are experiencing!

Chinnu has been missing for more than a week… her disappearance baffled both the police and the entire neighbourhood that lived nearby.

Just as Veera thought Chinnu would fade into obscurity for him, he receives a phone call. "Mr. Veeresh, this is Vikram," the guy said, pausing before continuing, "I want to see you in person... please come to the place tomorrow at 8 a.m that I shared on your cell now," telling this he disconnected the phone. Vikram... this name is familiar to me... Veera kept thinking and scratching his head.

Nonetheless, he preferred to go to the area where Vikram invited him. But when he arrived at the exact location, he noticed another individual. "Hello, I've been sent here by Vikram Sir", the man introduced himself. "Please follow me", he said. Veera got into his car and he drove to a remote location where there was a little home. A man was standing outside the house. "Mr. Veeresh, how are you… could you identify me?" Vikram asked "Please come in" he continued. All of a sudden, Veeru attempted to run, but the other man caught up with him.

"Not only did I lose Rekha, but also her mother... do you know that?" Vikram said, pulling out a revolver from his pocket. "If I desire, I can kill you since I have lost all desire to live," Vikram added, sobbing. Veera could not utter a word! He rose to his feet and pleaded with him to pardon him.

"I killed your other two friends!" Veera was taken aback when he stated this... "It was your turn and I was going to come to you… but when I saw you with your young child and your wife, I changed my mind"! Vikram paused. "But I gave you the punishment which you deserved… so that you should understand the feelings of parents who have gone through this ordeal...", he came to a halt. "Now, take your daughter from the bed room...she is sleeping... and get out of here", he came to a halt.

Veera ran inside the room where Chinnu was sleeping on a cot. Next to it, there was a glass almirah with a framed photograph of Rekha, a smiling little angel... Chinnu went up to his father, beaming.

Veera returns to the room where Vikram was sitting. He could not disguise his embarrassment caused by regret and went out of the room with Chinnu, while Vikram was seen waiving his hands towards Chinnu!
