309: THE ROOM THAT NEVER LETS YOU GO
309: THE ROOM THAT NEVER LETS YOU GO
The hospital had been abandoned for over a decade.
Locals in the nearby town avoided even mentioning its name. Windows were shattered, walls covered in black mold, and the long corridors echoed with a silence that felt… alive.
But for five college students, it was just another “haunted challenge.”
“Spend one night inside, record everything, and prove it’s all fake.”
That was the plan.
They entered at 11:45 PM.
Flashlights on. Cameras rolling. Laughing.
“See? Nothing,” Rahul said, kicking aside a rusted wheelchair.
Meera glanced at a faded sign on the wall:
3rd Floor – Psychiatric Ward
Below it, someone had scratched three words deep into the paint:
“DON’T OPEN 309”
“Classic horror warning,” Arjun joked. “Which means… we definitely open it.”
By 1:10 AM, things started changing.
Their cameras began glitching.
Footsteps echoed when no one was walking.
And once… just once…
Meera swore she heard someone whisper her name.
“Let’s just check 309 and leave,” she said, trying to sound brave.
No one disagreed.
The corridor on the third floor was colder than the rest of the building.
Too cold.
Their breath became visible.
Room numbers were barely readable.
305… 306… 307…
The lights flickered.
308…
And then—
309
The door was different.
Not broken. Not rusted.
Closed.
Perfectly intact.
Rahul placed his hand on the handle.
“…ready?”
No one answered.
He pushed the door open.
Inside was a single bed.
Strapped.
Old leather restraints hanging loose.
Walls covered in scratches.
Thousands of them.
Like someone had tried to dig their way out.
Meera’s camera suddenly turned off.
“Hey—did you see that?” she whispered.
“See what?” Arjun asked.
“The bed… it just moved.”
Everyone froze.
Slowly… they looked back.
The bed was empty.
But the restraints were… swinging.
Then the door slammed shut behind them.
Locked.
Panic erupted.
Rahul pulled the handle.
“It’s stuck!”
Arjun banged on the door.
“OPEN! OPEN!”
But the corridor outside was silent.
Too silent.
Then—
A voice.
Soft.
Right behind them.
“…why did you come in…”
They turned.
No one there.
The temperature dropped further.
Their flashlights flickered wildly.
“…you were told not to open…”
The voice was clearer now.
Angrier.
Meera screamed.
“LOOK!”
On the wall—
New scratches were appearing.
Fresh.
Deep.
Carving words into the paint.
“STAY”
Rahul fell back.
“There’s someone here—there HAS to be!”
The bed suddenly slammed against the floor.
BOOM.
The restraints tightened on their own.
And then—
They saw it.
In the corner.
A figure.
Twisted.
Head bent unnaturally.
Eyes wide open.
Smiling.
“…now you stay…”
The next morning, police entered the building.
They found Room 309 open.
Empty.
No sign of the students.
Only one thing remained.
Five cameras.
All recording.
All showing the same final frame—
The door of Room 309…
Slowly closing…
From the inside.
