I remember the day I first met you

You sure looked good, quite handsome too

You flashed me a smile, I glared at you

Though my heart fluttered for a second or two

You followed me around like a little pet

I know you thought I am playing hard to get

Wherever I looked you came into my vision

But I kept telling my heart that love is an illusion

Among your friends, you stood fair and tall

No words were spoken, your eyes said it all

I could see them sparkle when they met mine

My friends teased us saying 'cake and wine.'

When you first spoke, you asked me my name

To control the heartbeat I tried, but in vain

Then you scribbled on my book 'I love you'
