Wrongs & Toxicities

Running back to those arms of his that had once woven a maze of lies and fallacies around me - was wrong.

Melting into nothing the instant those lips of his met mine that had once uttered countless hollow words and vows - was wrong.

Pardoning him with another chance to salvage the love of ours that had once ceased to exist because of his devastating perfidy - was undeniably wrong.

Yet, every wrong was right.

"Why? "- They screamed and spat

"Because the cracked heart of mine still had his name engraved on it. Because the battered soul of mine still had his love imprinted at the very core of it. And only because I still loved him with every fiber of my being."
