Writing For You
Writing For You
I write with a jet black ink
To make my words last longer.
I press hard on paper to
Make a lasting impression -
So my writings about
You won't fade.
I have a diary full of pages with
Half written sentences,
Trying to comprehend you
Or perhaps understand you.
Life was black and white
With clear distinctions,
Especially between love and hate.
Had clear directions for
No particular destination.
But then I started to write about you
With nothing in mind and
How my preset distinctions
Started to blur!
Because I love you and I hate you,
I adore you but then I abhor you.
If there's any easy way to say it,
It would be to call you a tsunami
Because
You taught me to let go and
You taught me to stay afloat.
