This fifty plus phase of life is driving me up the wall

I'm talking about this thunderous, soul stealing menopause

Hot flashes? That's a joke as they last much longer than a flash

It's like having another family member as longs as it lasts

As far as getting a good night's sleep you can forget about that

The only one you'll be sleeping with is Mr. night sweats

All of those senseless and crazy mood swings

Is surely going to affect you with the mid stomach weight gain

Insomnia, depression and irritation all run rapid throughout the day

You can also expect a few skin changes to come along the way

Your hair might start to thin, and your sex drive goes and hides

If you're lucky it might return but it definitely takes a ride

When you feel fatigued the best thing to do is just chill

Because that's usually when brain fog takes the wheel

Get some gummies for the flashes and cooling mist for the sweat glands

I hear it lasts about 8 years so it's best to put it in God's hands

So, the next time you're awake at 3am I'm sure that I will be too
