Wolfish Wishes!

The Wolf is forever dark and foreboding 

With a famished wildness in the heart

That grows like hunger glowing 

In the heat of the fragile night 

The World is untamed and unafraid 

To show you the wrong way

Like the Wolf, you are wandering  

Aware of this constant change 

The wilderness creeps up on you

Clamping down and distorting your view

Just like the dark Wolf you prowl 

Into the far side of the night that remains

The wishes you dream of being forsaken

But you are fixated on a whisper

You can hear the calling for the better

Though you are fearful to answer 

The warmth of that longed for embrace 

Would soothe this hunger you crave

Like the Wolf, you move in for the kill

Taking chances you can't explain

The whims and wherewithal needed

Won't hinder you from staying here enslaved

You are more like the Dark hungry Wolf 

Than you will ever know in daylight

The waning Moon feeds your washed up mood

Bringing everything to the forefront

Crystal clear now you dive right in

And savage the lust you eagerly seek
