Without you

Without you

2 mins

I remember we had promised each other

The sun and the moon,

The stars and all the bright lights.

And now that we have drifted away,

I just cannot make a sense of what really went wrong.

Was it my mistakes, was it yours?

That, I do not know of, not that it matters;

I just can't come to terms with the fact

That now you are not mine and I am not yours.

What was it that went terribly wrong?

Had we always been incomplete together?

Or did we drift apart with time?

I am not sure, but one thing, I know for a fact -

That we are still in immense love with each other.

It's not just the most familiar person going away,

Your departure feels like my home being taken away from me,

No comforting arms, no familiar scent, no warm words;

I can't help but be thrown into a disarray.

Are you the same, as miserable as I am?

Do you remember how we always wanted this

To last for a lifetime and beyond,

So why are we here now, stranded on different directions of this crossroad,

With thousands of unsorted feelings impeding our paths?

Had it always meant to end here?

The love we shared, the ardent feelings we felt.

I do not know of you, but now,

There's a void in my soul,

One which could only be ever filled by you.

Don't you feel as I do?

Empty and lost without you.
