Rain in winters

As I sit here by the window wrapped in blankets scarf and socks I'm reminded why we shouldn't moan as winter finds its way through gaps.

With weeks and days of rain with no sign of ease insight, I'm sitting here this evening fighting back the cold and damp.

The rain keeps days and nights warm as frost can't settle and take hold as I sit here slowly freezing I look forward to brighter days with rain.

The windows are cold the drapes are drawn the blinds are closed with the heater on, I spy my bed it looks so inviting warm, and cozy as I get ready for sleeping. 

I know the moment I lay down the warmth from the blankets will make me smile and very quickly I'll forget the cold that waits to greet us outside the door.
