Winter Scene

Winter Scene

In icy hush, where frost descends,

A winter scene on a canal extends.

A silver ribbon 'neath a pale blue sky,

Nature's canvas, where beauty lies.

The water still, like frozen glass,

Reflects the trees, their branches mass.

A delicate lace of snowflakes adorns,

Silent whispers in the early morns.

The air crisp and biting, cold and clear,

Breath dances in clouds, whispers near.

Footprints etched upon the pristine snow,

Leading the way, where footsteps go.

The canal, a path, serene and wide,

Flanked by trees, standing tall with pride.

Their naked branches, reaching high,

Stretching towards the wintry sky.

A symphony of silence fills the air,

Broken only by a distant, muffled snare.

A lone bird's call, a fleeting sound,

Nature's orchestra, so profound.

Frost-kissed reeds line the water's edge,

Their delicate form, a wispy hedge.

Sparkling crystals adorn each stem,

A frozen spectacle, nature's gem.

Footsteps echo on the frozen ground,

Leaving behind a mark profound.

The world in slumber, tranquil and still,

A frozen moment, a scene to thrill.

In this winter scene on a canal's embrace,

Time slows down, a moment's grace.

Nature's artistry, a sight so grand,

In winter's grip, a wonderland.
