Winter's Tale

A day winter questioned,

To the season of spring.

At the time of your arrival,

Such a moment of blissfulness, you bring.

With your mere touch,

New leaves start sprouting from trees.

You are the seasonal king,

Who makes everyone, please?

On the way round, it's me,

Who only propagates sadness in the air.

Sometimes from you, I get jealous.

As if I feel it's not fair.

I try to spread happiness,

But my presence dries off the leaves.

Many lovely birds leave my touch,

That adds another reason to my grief.

As winter exclaims its heartbroken story,

Tears filled its eyes.

Spring feels sorry,

But more, he becomes

Surprised.

Spring smiles and says to Winter.

"You are the reason behind my fame,

You have always been the winner,

You are the source from where I came".

"If you are not been around,

Then the whole cycle would come to an end.

For the existence of life on earth,

All of us are essential, my friend".
