Who Am I?

Who am I? I ask my soul,

A voice so strange, speaks back to me:

it tells me that, i am what I never want to be

“You're a monster"

It yells, it cries...

"An unwanted disaster!"

Tears start to pool in my eyes,

"You're the storm everyone runs away from"

"You're the side character everyone ignores"

"You're the fiend, rotten from the core"

"You're the second choice that remains unchosen"

"You're the art which receives no attention"

"You're the joker whose jokes are lame"

"You're the one who always gets the blame"

"You're the victim, portrayed as the culprit"

"You always gave your best but were never appreciated”

"You always seeked for love but you were always hated"

“You with your pretty lies, hid your scars”

“You said you were okay and cried in the dark”

"You were a human but they made you a monster"

"You started to blame it all on you"

"You started to unsee what was true"

"You believed that you are a monster...but you forgot that you were raised this way"

"You were raised to believe that you are a monster, but an innocent child can cause no harm"

"All it seeks is love, but you got hate and betrayal"

"And because of all the blame, you started to see yourself as the culprit and accepted their lies"

"You are the real victim, the one who was made a monster"

The words are true but they hurt,

"So who am I really?" I blurt...

The voice speaks in a low, sad whisper...

"You are what they made you, you arent 'YOU'!"
