When You Are Waiting

When you are waiting to hear from someone

Each minute, each second somehow stretches

And somehow becomes longer.

The needles on the hands of the clock move slower.

You obsess over the person you are waiting for.

We seek our happiness from others that we have no control over.

All it brings is expectations and then disappointments

When those expectations are not met.

How we let it go when it is the only thing that matters.

Is waiting for someone a sign of unmet expectations?

If you are favourite for someone,

They would there for you, no matter what.

They wouldn't make you wait.

If they cared for you they would keep you informed.

Not keep you in the dark.
