I get that way

Sometimes.

First grade

At recess

Playing

Hopscotch

And nine square.

Didn't

Know it back then

But here we are.

 

What would I have done

Different

If I knew how things would be

Today.

 

Would I have spent

Less time on love songs

If I knew love was ahead.

 

Would I have spent less time guessing

If I knew I could stop obsessing.

 

And I thought for a while

I might have really cared

And wanted to know what I would have done.

 

But I don't think it's that important anymore.

I'm going to stop worrying about tomorrow,

Because today

I am alright.

 

Tonight

Just know

 

I wish you the best

And I can't wait to see where this goes.

 

And maybe

In tomorrow's light

We'll see summer snow.
