What Was My Mistake?

I was always there supporting you, 

And you always there scolding me! 

I always there caring about you, 

And you like always, being callous to me!

I was busy making your days red, 

You engaged in making my nights black! 

Every morning I tried to reduce your woe, 

But every night you thought me your foe! 

It has been years, 

Since we conversed,  

Though we were together 

But only for the world! 

At last, I feel contended, 

For you were by my side, 

Not throughout the years, 

At least during my last times!

But that question still haunts me, 

Which you haven't answered yet, 

What was my mistake?

Why you gave me so much pain?
