We Were Disillusioned

Give it a thought!!

We were disillusioned that

We cannot work from home

We were disillusioned that

We can save the Earth

We can reduce pollution

It came as an epiphany that

The Earth can heal itself

Rather better without human intervention.

We were disillusioned that

We are the masters, but

When the Master played its

Masterstroke!!

We were all broke.

We were disillusioned that

Junk food is all we can survive on

When all eateries closed,

We still survived….

We were disillusioned that

All the film stars and sports stars were real heroes

Until the real heroes emerged to our rescue.

We were disillusioned that

Oil was a precious commodity,

Till the time we used it.

We were disillusioned that

Every species needs freedom

Until we were in the cage and animals loitered freely.

We were disillusioned that

Life will wane or dwindle without shopping malls, PVRs, brands, and foreign trips

But we still survived…

We were affected but we still survived.

What was indeed affected was Artificial life.

The real-life was still genuine and unpretentious.

What we reaped from this is a matter of fact.

Affluenza and extravaganza have stopped.

Flowers are blooming; birds are chirping; streams and rivers are flowing

Rather cleaner and purer than ever.

We have come to know that, we were disillusioned!!
