We Are Teenagers, We Get It
We Are Teenagers, We Get It
We All Get It!
You want us all to be inclined,
For our future that you have in mind.
We all get it that you are taut concerned,
But the truth is, we’re scared but not overturned.
We are scared because our paths are unclear.
We don’t know what to do we are just a bunch of peer,
We get it, you want us to be secure thus the diss,
But we want to go for roller coasters and not dismiss.
Now, he lays in his bed,
His worries slowly shattering him.
So many questions in his head,
About how his future will be.
Will his dreams come true? Or will he find someone to turn to?
She got a lot of praise and encouragement.
When she was innocent.
Now she is just called a crook clumsy,
Irrespective adolescence
Why does she behave like this? Will she ever be innocent again?
Keeping my head high,
Running the race, fighting the lot
My senses make me feel like a bewildered pot.
The unknown pricks me,
My soul is heavy and restless.
This world filled with appealing prejudice,
Law-abiding miscreants.
Sentiments creeping in, homophobes and sexists ruling thy streets.
How to keep our calm?
How can we shut our mouths?
Early life becoming hard,
Thoughts shouting, gone absurd.
Deep burns and mental rage.
We all get it,
Yes, we are kids,
But this is the generation.
Hope you too get it.
