The Destiny
The Destiny
We get raised with the love and affection of my parents. We stand still against all odds,
the gazing eyes, romancing kisses and emotional tears.
Some times love nurtures me at times the mercy of nature and manure propel me.
With time, we get matured and witness emotions by being emotionless.
As a part of his duty, he sells me as a commodity and I get sacrificed for his family.
We travel across the world of unknown territories with no future and life.
Part of us wanes the journey, others fail to meet the beauty standards.
We get chopped.
We get a makeover.
We get adopted to the beauty and elegance of fake life.
Though we are best when we are dressed.
After losing our family and our qualities we live to entertain the people
without any discrimination, though we do get discriminated against for our colors, taste, and nationality.
It's true anyone can abuse us with money.
But we are not destined to garbage after such a long toiling survival journey.
Invite us only if you require us.
Consume us only when you like every morsel of us.
With proper direction, we can save a lot of souls dying out of hunger, but our Destiny counts on you.
This poem is written to address food wastage, A simple act of consuming what is required while purchasing the grocery and in canteens can save food, water wastage and in turn pollution and energy to treat the waste. There are organizations like feeding India who are working to address hunger with a distribution network as a nonprofit org a small tie-up with such org can reduce food wastage to a large extent.
